Idea Works Global
As a luxury copywriter, I have worked for Idea Works Global and their impressive clientele for more than a decade. They asked me to create a new tagline and write the website copy for the Dallas-based boutique marketing and brand development firm. “Representing the world’s most coveted brands” seemed to quickly identify their niche, as Idea Works Global remains “focused on facilitating strategic partnerships between heritage brands to reach the most affluent connoisseurs of art, autos, fashion, travel, jewelry, spirits and sports.”
Charles Ward, and his small but mighty team, boast decades of luxury-related marketing experience. His firm has a knack for creating unique experiential events that often take place in the world of international polo, at the NFL Super Bowl, and Indy car racing as well as yacht racing. As for the latter, Ward once raised $16 million for the Stars & Stripes team, who went on to win the prestigious America’s Cup race and thereby returned the cup to U.S. shores.
Idea Works Global entered the world of polo as the sponsorship agency for Las Colinas Polo Club. After growing its base and visibility while brokering multiyear sponsorship deals, Ward’s firm then became the sponsorship agency for Santa Barbara Polo Club. Over the course of 18 years, Idea Works Global has helped the club realize unprecedented growth, forming strategic partnerships with brands that include Gulfstream Aerospace, Ferrari, Karma, Rolls-Royce, Nespresso, Cartier, Belmond El Encanto Santa Barbara, Farmers & Merchants Bank and Silver Air—to name a few. As a freelance copywriter, helping to create the proposals and marketing materials that support the projects created for these brands has been an extremely rewarding experience for me.
